04-30-2007: Chevy-Powered 'Rev it Up 2007' Descends on Six Cities

Dates and locations announced; national winner receives 2007 Chevrolet Corvette

DETROIT – Chevrolet today announced “Rev It Up 2007: Where Drivers Come To Play” (www.revitup.com), a day of competition and fun geared to automotive enthusiasts. Competitors pay just $25, and their friends and spectators can experience the six-city celebration of car culture for free.

Rev It Up 2007 is a true playground for car lovers. It is the world’s largest performance driving school and national racing competition, in which racers and amateurs compete for the title of Rev It Up National Champion and a 2007 Chevrolet Corvette. Six regional winners receive two days of instruction at the Bondurant School of High Performance Driving and airfare.

Rev It Up 2007 gives car enthusiasts a chance to immerse themselves in all things automotive. It tours six major metropolitan areas in July and August – San Francisco and Orange County, Calif.; as well as Houston, Orlando, New York and Washington D.C. (see schedule below). Besides the $25 competitor fee, other behind-the-wheel activities are offered at a nominal charge. Space is limited, so advance registration is recommended. Updated information, event locations and registration forms are available at www.revitup.com.

“Where else but at Rev It Up can you spend the day racing, driving and experiencing the best Chevy has to offer?” said Ed Peper, Chevrolet general manager. “It’s a great combination of competition and car show, where automotive enthusiasts can hone their skills and test their precision and control in our performance vehicles at an incredible enthusiast’s day camp.”
